Our experienced team perform advanced performance evaluations utilizing the Lameness Locator system. The horse is viewed walking and jogging/gaiting in straight lines along with circles. In gaited examinations, the horse is often viewed best under saddle. The new indoor ring offers optimal footing for examinations and allows for workups in extreme weather. Flexion tests and nerve blocks may also be performed to target the exact location of the injury. To supplement the Lameness Locator, digital radiography and ultrasound are used. The expert team evaluates all diagnostic tools to provide a customized treatment and rehabilitation plan.

Rehabilitation is a key piece of the puzzle for longevity of the horse. Equine Surgical Center offers a variety of services to assist in the rehabilitation process such as extracorporeal shockwave therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic.
