Meet the Team
Blake Everett
DVM, MS, ACVS-LA
Growing up on a horse farm in Tennessee, J. Blake Everett, DVM, MS, DACVS-LA, says his passion for horses and the veterinary profession stems from the time he spent raising and showing Tennessee Walking Horses. Today, Dr. Everett is a veterinarian at ThorSport Farm. Together, he and his wife, Connie, live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine, he completed an internship at Rood and Riddle in Lexington, Kentucky. Upon completion of his internship, Everett began a dual masters’ research program and large animal surgical residency at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Everett recently became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Large Animal).
Lindsey Schoelen
LVMT
Lindsey has resided in Middle Tennessee for over 30 years but is actually an Oklahoma native. She has spent many years in varying aspects of the equine industry including training, showing, teaching, and reproduction. The last 16 years she has spent in veterinary medicine as a licensed technician with a focus on surgery and anesthesia, as well as, medicine and triage. She has held many positions with AAEVT, but she currently operates as the Anesthesia Society Committee Chair and Instructor.
Connie Everett
Practice Administrator
Connie was raised in Middle Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics from Middle Tennessee State University. After completing her undergraduate degree, Connie joined her husband at the University of Tennessee to complete her Master of Science in Agricultural Economics. She spent many years working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry before joining the team with Tenda Horse Products. Now, she works alongside her high school sweetheart as the practice administrator for Equine Surgical Center.
